Long-time supporters Phred and Rob Newbury organise an annual skittles night to catch up with friends and fellow supporters.

Seeing the opportunity to turn this into a fundraiser they set two teams against each other to build the competitive spirit. Selling tickets for the event, running a raffle and having a pay-to-play final knockout round, are all ways they gather in funds, and a buffet is organised with the club to make it a nice social evening.

This is a really fantastic way to have a nice night out with friends and like-minded people, and to raise money for gorilla conservation while you are at it. In these austere times it is great to think of different ways to approach people for donations and what better way to do it than by combining the event with a hobby.

Organise a knock out football competition, a pub quiz, a karaoke night, or anything you like… and we will be very happy to help with promotional material, flyers, poster, pictures, stickers…
