Among the 12,000 participating in the London 10,000 run there ran a lone Gorilla Runner.
The London 10,000, named after the 10,000 metre course which follows the proposed 2012 olympic route, weaves through streets of Westminster, Whitehall, and ending at St James’s Park.
The enthusiastic Gorilla Runner, Iraklis Konstantopoulos, took to the 10km course with gusto, completing the run wearing a full gorilla suit and white sunglasses, in just over an hour.
Iraklis did the gorillas proud and has raised an impressive £650 in sponsorship for The Gorilla Organization. This sponsorship will go to fund the Gorilla Organization’s programme of gorilla conservation and long-term community development projects.
Our utmost thanks to Iraklis from everyone at The Gorilla Organization.
