One of this year’s Great Gorilla Run teams: Team Maggsolarrgh have had a novel idea to raise sponsorship – an ebay auction of a banana.

Nicola Bartlett and Kayleigh Maggs raised £10.50 from the auction of a single banana on ebay. In addition to this the Team have held a gorilla bingo night, sold cakes, hosted a picnic, carried out car boot sales and raffled a cake in their local pub. They have raised almost £900 in sponsorship for the gorillas and are still going strong.

All of the money raised by Nicola, Kayleigh, and the hundreds of other Great Gorilla Runners will be invested in the Gorilla Organization’s programme of conservation and development projects.
