During the course of the Great Gorilla Run, runners cross the River Thames a total of four times, via Blackfriars Bridge, Southwark Bridge, London Bridge, and the big one – Tower Bridge.
Tower Bridge comes first at around the half a kilometer mark, as the Great Gorilla runners stream in a grand furry mass from the City, down to the Thames past the Tower of London.
A haven for tourists, who simply have to get that shot, the Great Gorillas shake things up good and proper as they stream across the bridge.
It’s nice to think that many a September tourist has returned to their native lands with a gem of a shot – Pink Fairy Tutu Gorilla, Mankini Gorilla or Elvis ‘The King’ (of the Gorillas) adding a little exotica to the standard London tourist shots!
