citygent2.jpgcitygent1.jpgcitygent3.jpgThe City of London, the heart of the financial world, is the cornerstone of the Great Gorilla Run.

The run starts and finishes in Dunster Court, right underneath the Lloyds Building and the Gerkin, and no Great Gorilla Run would be complete without a fat cat, City gent, strolling along, oozing the confidence that comes from complete and utter indulgence in unbridled capitalism.

2008 saw a particularly fine specimen, dolled up in classic City style of pin stripe suit with three essential accessories: bowler hat, umbrella and a copy of the FT tucked under the arm.

The classic City look is a rare thing these days – maybe as rare as the gorillas themselves.

Appropriate then that an appearance should be made at the Great Gorilla Run.
