Since the beginning of Great Gorilla time, there’s always been a Pirate Gorilla proudly flying the Jolly Roger and evoking the golden age of piracy and wild and wonderful characters such as Blackbeard and Long John Silver (and his parrot).

So if you’re thinking pirate for the Great Gorilla Run 2010, no half-measures with the outfit – you’ll really have to go to town to beat Susanne Holme, who was voted Best Costume last year for her Pirate Gorilla.
