Eight-year-old twins Joseph and Megan Potts, along with their friend Kerry Luff, held cake sales at their school to raise over £116.28 to help save the few remaining gorillas.
The children also distributed leaflets provided by the Gorilla Organization to raise awareness of gorilla conservation and encourage others to show support for their gorilla cousins.
Mum Julie said “They are delighted as this means they are well on their way to their target of £85, which will allow them to look after a gorilla called Amy and her family.”
